What this site collects

Very little. Visit statistics run without cookies: the page path, referrer, country, device type and a pseudonymous daily hash are recorded; the IP address itself is not stored and nothing is used for marketing or profiling. One technical cookie (kioskbase-zariadenie, valid one year) is set only on the pairing and screen pages so a tablet finds its own screen again. The customer portal requires a sign-in; the session token is kept in your browser's local storage and disappears when you sign out. There are no contact forms and no third-party trackers.

Hosting and server logs

The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages). To serve a request, Cloudflare technically processes the IP address and connection data in server logs — necessary to deliver the page and protect against attacks (legitimate interest). The operator does not build visitor profiles from these logs.

When you write to us

An e-mail sent to the contact address is processed for a single purpose: to reply to you and arrange possible cooperation. Messages are not deleted automatically; you can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, restrict its processing and object to it. Just write to [email protected]. Complaints can be filed with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection.

Deleting your data (Kioskbase app)

Device data. A paired tablet sends only technical data about the device: device identifiers, IP and MAC address, Wi-Fi network name, app version and screenshots of the app window. To delete it, sign in to the customer portal, open the device, choose Deactivate and then Delete forever (owner role). All its telemetry and screenshots are removed at once and the tablet returns to the pairing screen.

Account data. To delete your portal account together with its devices, licence records and e-mail address, write to [email protected] from the address the account is registered to. The account is removed within 30 days. Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by law (10 years); the tamper-proof audit trail keeps only command hashes and timestamps, no personal data.

The Kioskbase app (Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac)

Before pairing and in the built-in demo mode the app sends nothing anywhere. Pairing needs a six-digit code issued by the device owner's administrator; there is no user account in the app and no sign-in.

After pairing the app talks only to the Kioskbase server (api.kioskbase.com) and sends technical data about the device so the administrator can look after it remotely: the device token, app version, operating system, screen size, time zone and clock offset, local IP address, free storage, lock state, names and dates of sign-in backups (never their content), network diagnostics and the last lines of the app log. The Android app additionally sends the MAC address and Wi-Fi network name; the Android and Mac apps can send a screenshot when the administrator asks for one; the iPhone and iPad app cannot take screenshots. The data is used only to operate and support the kiosk, is not used for advertising or tracking and is not shared with third parties.

Stays on the device: the settings, the PIN (stored only as a salted hash) and the sign-in backups (cookies of the kiosk page). The camera is used only when the page shown on the kiosk asks for it (for example face recognition in an attendance terminal) and the app itself does not store or send any images. The page shown on the kiosk is chosen by the administrator and is governed by that page operator's own privacy policy.
