Install and first pairing
Three steps and the tablet is in service — and that is also the last time you have to stand next to it. On pairing the app downloads everything from the server: address, allowed domains, purpose and lock. Everything after that happens from a browser.
The release build, signed with the publisher key — that one belongs
in production. A preview build is sent by the administrator straight
to a specific tablet; it is not available for download.

Steps
Download and install
Open this page in the tablet browser and tap the button above. Android asks about installing from an unknown source — allow it for the browser.
Enter the six-digit code
The admin or the portal generates the code when creating the device; it is valid for ten minutes. Nothing else is configured on the tablet.
Recommended: device owner mode
On a factory-reset tablet (no Google account), one USB command: adb shell dpm set-device-owner com.kioskbase/.SpravcaZariadenia. Enables the hard lock, silent updates and remote reboot.
Without the app — browser only
A device that cannot run the Android app — iPad, TV, Windows terminal — pairs too: open kioskbase.com/pair in its browser and enter the same six-digit code.

An honest mode for screens where “show this and stay switchable” is enough. A terminal that must survive people belongs to the app.
Full device owner without a cable (QR)
Android has two levels. The app can ask for device admin at any time — even remotely from the administration — which gives it a real screen-off and protection against uninstalling. Device owner, which holds the tablet locked even against the Home button and installs updates silently, cannot be enabled on a device that is already set up — only during first-run setup.
On a new (or factory-reset) tablet: on the welcome screen tap the same spot six times, connect Wi-Fi and scan this code. The tablet downloads Kioskbase itself and starts straight as device owner.
⚠️ Only works during factory setup — on a tablet in service it would mean a reset and data loss. For devices already deployed, use the device-admin request from the administration.
Good to know
Coming from the older Kotva app? Uninstall it first — Kioskbase is a new package and installs clean.
After pairing you manage the device from the portal: address, restart, screenshots, the ad screensaver and updates — without visiting the tablet.
